Convert .Docx Files to .Rtf format using Docx2Rtf

The .Docx file document format was first introduced by Microsoft in Microsoft Office 2007. The problem with this document format is that it is not recognized by old version of Microsoft Office due to lack of backward compatibility. Most of the users are still using old versions of Microsoft Office and have to use third party utilities and solutions to convert .Docx format to other readable document formats.

Docx2Rtf is one such utility that will allow you to easily convert Microsoft Word 2007 (.Docx) and OpenOffice Files to Rtf format. Rtf (Rich Text Format) is the most simple document format which does not even require a separate software to open itself. Microsoft Wordpad which comes be default with Windows is capable of opening Rtf document files.

The sweet thing about Docx2Rtf is that it is even capable of retrieving information from locked .Docx files which are created when using a trial version of Microsoft Word 2007. Plus it does not require Office 2007 or OpenOffice installed in order to work. Word 2007 Docx files and OpenOffice files will be converted with formatting, but without images.

And if thats not enough for you, then I must tell you that Docx2Rtf even has a built-in PDF converter too.
